The 2010-2011 team pushed for that elusive first state championship in wrestling for the school and for West Tennessee. The team, led by seniors Nate Rupiper, Lou Posey, Mick Anthony and Blake Hataway, returned to the state duals finals, losing 27-25 to a very tough Baylor team. The team did take a step forward in the State individual tournament, securing the teams highest finish, second, since 1985. There were a number of team and individual accomplishments during the season. The team won the Black Horse Invitational, the Tiger Classic in Cape Girardeau, Mo, and the West Regional Duals and took second at the Iolani Duals, Father Ryan Invitational, and the Fandetti-Richardson Brawl. During the State Individual tournament, the Brothers put four wrestlers in the finals. Kaleb Baker (135) and Tate Robinson (112) won their first state championship, while Nate Rupiper (171) and Mick Anthony (140) both finished second for the second straight year. Other placers were Nick Gray (103), Brandon Oliver (119), Matt Johnson (125) and Barrett Walthall (160) 3rd, TaShan Mitchell (189) and Corbin McOlgan (215) 4th, Blake Hataway (130) and Lou Posey (285) 5th and Michael Isom placed 6th.
