The 2008-2009 team stayed the course established by the previous season, placing third in both the State Duals and State Individuals for the second season in a row. During the State Individuals, the team held the led for the majority of the tournament, only 9.5 points out of first place going into the finals. The Brothers put five individuals in the state finals, with Daniel Baucke (119) winning his second state championship and Alex Johnson (130) winning his first, but it was not enough to catch Father Ryan and Baylor. Other state finalists were J.P. Carney (112), Zach Hanniford (135) and Zach Johnson (140). State placers were Matt Johnson (103), Mick Anthony (125), Brian Feltus (145), Tony Downs (160) 3rd, Jake Holmes (189) 4th, and Nate Rupiper (152) and Brett Thomas (171) 5th. The wrestlers finished the season ranked 6th in the final Coaches Poll with a 23-3 record. The 2009-10 team was once again ready to challenge for a state championship. Led by Daniel Baucke, Alex Johnson, Zach Johnson and Tony Downs, the team won the Black Horse Invitational and the Fandetti-Richardson Brawl, finished 4th at the Cleveland Duals, and competed in their first national level tournament, placing 8th at the KCI Toshiba Midwest Classic in Kansas City, Mo., racking up 26 dual victories.

At the State Duals, the Brother defeated MBA and Baylor to reach the finals for the first time, only to come up gut-wrenching short, losing to Father Ryan, 28-24. In late February at the State Individual Tournament in Franklin, TN, the wrestlers were in the running to win the state individuals, only to fade on Saturday morning to finish 3rd. The Brothers placed 7 wrestlers in the state finals, with Daniel Baucke, Alex Johnson and Zach Johnson all winning championships. Kaleb Baker, Mick Anthony, Tony Downs and Nate Rupiper were runners-up and all 14 wrestlers placed. The Brothers finished ranked 5th in the final Coaches Poll of the season.
