The 2001-2002 team finished the year 21-5 with the Regional Championship, finished 5th in the State Individual tournament, and ended the year ranked 8th in the final State AP Poll. The team placed 1st at the Wildcat Invitational, 2nd at the Kenwood Klassic, 3rd in the Cleveland Duals, 4th at the Father Ryan Invitational, and 4th at the Coca-Cola Invitational. Individual season records were set by Michael Marable with 142 takedowns and Breen Stevens with 30 pins during the season. At the State Tournament, Rusty Morris (152) and Michael Marable (160) placed 2nd, J. Robinson (112), Breen Stevens (130) and Nick Marable (140) placed 3rd, Luke Gatling (171) placed 4th, Ben Chovanec (189) 5th and Jonathan Abel (145) placed 6th. CBHS put seven wrestlers on the All-Metro team.
