1997-98 brought a new coach, Chris Lewis, and a new classification in TSSAA, Division II. In a rebuilding year, the Brothers won 14 matches during the regular season and placed 6 wrestlers in the State Tournament. The team was lead by Michael Thorn who finished the season with a 39-6 overall record and 4th place finish in the State Tournament.
